Outdoor procession on a brick-paved courtyard with palm trees behind. A tall decorated flagpole with painted bird and floral motifs stands at center. In the foreground, a barefoot man in a white dhoti with a gold border and a beaded rudraksha mala stands holding a tall ornate golden staff topped with a saffron and red embroidered pennant. Beside him, a woman in a maroon-red sari with a long rudraksha mala holds her hands in anjali. To the right, a woman in orange holds a golden trident staff. Behind them, a large group of saffron-robed sannyasi and children with shaved heads, some in red and orange, press palms together. The scene suggests a flag-hoisting or procession event in the ashram, with devotees in saffron and maroon garments.2014-10-05Outdoor ritual gathering at an ashram courtyard with palm trees and a red wall behind. Saffron-robed sannyasis stand with hands folded in anjali mudra, and many young saffron-clad boys with shaved heads and white tilak on their foreheads stand among them. Foreground figures include a shaved-headed man in white dhoti with gold border and rudraksha mala holding a silver vessel, a man in rust-coloured robe with orange shawl and rudraksha malas, a bespectacled man in saffron robe holding a long wooden staff, and a man in saffron robe wearing a marigold and red-flower garland. No one is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance; roles are priest, sannyasis and devotees during a padapuja-style ceremony. Several dozen people are visible.2014-10-04March 11 20132013-03-11July 24 20132013-07-24January 01 20172017-01-01Outdoor photo at a temple-like courtyard with palm trees and a tall decorated pillar behind. A bare-chested man with swept-back long hair, a white vertical forehead mark, a large rudraksha mala and a reddish-brown wrap with gold border stands at left, smiling and looking to the right. Behind him a crowd in saffron and orange robes and bright silk saris, including several girls wearing white jasmine garlands and folded hands in namaste. A camera operator stands at far left. Swamiji (probable): the man has long swept-back hair, a rudraksha mala and a distinctive reddish-brown wrap, so the appearance cues are present, though the mark and robes alone are not conclusive.2014-10-03A photograph of a procession on a paved courtyard beside a red-roofed building and palm trees. In the foreground a man with long swept-back hair, bare-chested and wearing a red-and-gold dhoti, a red and white flower garland and a gold necklace, walks barefoot with his hands joined near his chest. Behind him a bald man in a red-and-gold dhoti carries a tall wooden staff, and a second man in similar red robes raises a pointing finger. Several rows of people in saffron-orange robes walk with hands folded in prayer, and a woman in a yellow shawl and white sari stands among them. A decorated ceremonial umbrella with a red and gold canopy is held aloft, and palm fronds hang overhead. The scene reads as a ritual procession.2014-11-26October 04 20142014-10-04A large group of young boys and some adults in saffron-orange robes stands outdoors in front of lush green foliage, many with shaved heads and white tilak markings on their foreheads. Several boys press their palms together in anjali mudra while others hold their hands in prayer. A tall adult woman at right in orange robes and a rudraksha mala holds a golden staff topped with a trident, and a gold ornamented staff with a finial is visible at top right. One man in white dhoti and shirt stands at left. A boy in white dhoti stands in the middle of the group. The setting suggests a devotional gathering or procession with ashram students.2014-10-05August 20 20142014-08-20 +1 copiesSeptember 26 20142014-09-26June 19 20142014-06-19
