A night-time outdoor photograph of a long, unbroken line of devotees in plain white traditional clothing, many women in white saris and men in white dhotis and shirts, holding hands in a chain that stretches across a stone-paved courtyard. Some women wear red or maroon borders, one wears a blue-and-white sari, and several wear name badges on their clothing. Strings of blue fairy lights and a green illuminated pillar appear in the dark background behind trees. Only the people in the foreground chain are clearly visible; the line extends beyond the frame, so the count is approximate.2016-01-02November 21 20152015-11-21A night photograph of a procession on a dirt path inside an ashram compound, with a red wall and strings of coloured lights behind. In the foreground a woman in a white sari with a bold orange-and-purple border walks with her arms raised, a rudraksha-style bead necklace visible at her neck. Behind her a line of about a dozen people in orange and saffron garments and white dhotis walk in formation, several with arms lifted, toward a lit entrance with a glowing light and decorations. Trees frame the right side and cars are parked at the left.2015-11-19January 02 20162016-01-02Night photograph of an outdoor gathering on a dirt ground with green and white lights glowing behind. Small flags and a lit structure appear in the background.2008-04-19December 31 20152015-12-31March 07 20162016-03-07March 07 20162016-03-07Night photograph of a crowded procession at an ashram or temple ground lit by strings of multicolour fairy lights arching overhead. Many people in white and cream clothing and saris move through the dense crowd, some in pale shirts and dhotis, women in white saris with borders. A bright floodlight glows near a decorated structure on the right, possibly a ratha or palanquin, though its details are obscured by distance and darkness. Blurred motion suggests people walking together in the procession.2016-03-07October 12 20072007-10-12
