Outdoor procession on sandy ground beside palm trees under a pale sky. Young men in white kurta-style clothing with orange shawls draped over their shoulders pull a thick braided rope in the foreground. Outdoor tug-of-war contest on a dirt ground during a village celebration. Several men in white dhotis and white kurtas, some with orange saffron shawls, pull a long rope taut across the centre. A bald man in an orange saffron robe stands in the middle of the pulling line. On the right, a man in an orange shawl and white clothes watches near the rope end. Behind them, spectators in white and mixed clothes stand near a thatched hut and palm trees. A tall arch of red, blue and orange balloons with orange streamers frames the scene, and a poster or banner is visible in the background.

Outdoor photograph in a dusty courtyard with palm trees and a low cinder-block wall behind. A tall bamboo frame holds a hanging clay pot strung with colourful balloons (orange, blue, red, green). Several men in white dhotis and white shirts, and some wearing orange shawls, stand around the pot. A woman in a white salwar-style outfit stands at left with long dark hair. Children and women in pink, red and orange saris are scattered in the background, consistent with a Holi celebration with a pot-breaking game. The men's faces are not identifiable from this image, so no candidate is named; the orange-shawled men are described by role only.

Outdoor photo of men in white shirts and dhotis and a few in light-coloured shirts working on a bamboo frame in a courtyard in front of a white building. Several men lift and hold long bamboo poles, one planting a pole in the dirt, while onlookers stand nearby, including a woman in a light sari and children. A small rack of colored balloons hangs from the frame. Behind them a white temple building has signs reading Sri Anandeshwara Temple and Sri Anandeshwara Devasthana, with a banner on the right showing a deity portrait. Several men in white dhotis and white kurtas with yellow sashes handle the pole; one man in white raises his arms toward it. A man in orange robes stands at left beside a blue barrel. Onlookers, including girls in pink and green dresses and a boy in a checked shirt, watch from behind a low orange brick wall with trees beyond.

Outdoor festival scene on a dusty ground beneath coconut palms, with a thatched hut and a tall balloon column in orange, red and blue. Orange bunting strings across the top. A rope tug-of-war or group line game is underway: men in white shirts and white trousers pull on the left, while on the right people in cream and off-white traditional dhoti-style clothing and saffron/orange robes hold the rope and link arms. A figure in a long orange robe stands near the centre. Onlookers in dark clothes watch at the bottom edge. A large banner with portraits and the year 2009 sits behind the crowd.
