Photograph of artisans carving a pale wooden bull. Two men in white dhotis and shirts sit on the floor working on the carving: the man on the left uses a chisel or carving tool, and the man on the right strikes with a wooden mallet. A third man in the background wears a grey shirt with an orange shawl and has a tilak on his forehead, seated near stacked timber planks. Wood shavings litter the floor.

A photo of three men carving a large pale wooden figure of a seated bull. The man on the left in a white dhoti with yellow borders and a white shirt uses a chisel on the sculpture. The central figure in a grey-striped shirt with an orange cloth over his shoulder sits in the background with a tool. The man on the right in a white shirt and white shorts hammers a wooden mallet against the carving. Green and blue pencil guidelines mark the wood, and wooden beams frame the scene.

Two men work on wooden pieces in an outdoor workshop strewn with planks, offcuts and wood shavings. The older man on the left, in a white shirt and white dhoti, holds a chisel against a wooden block. The younger man on the right, in a white striped shirt and grey trousers, sits on a wooden block and steadies the wood with both hands. A white plastic chair, stacked lumber and a corded electric tool sit nearby, and stone pieces lie at the left edge.

A workshop photograph showing a large pale wooden bull statue, a nandi-style figure with red-tipped horns and an ornamented saddle band, being worked on by a man in a white vest and maroon dhoti who touches its head. In the foreground a man in a white shirt and white dhoti sits on the floor working near the statue's base, with an older man in a checked shirt beside him. Behind them are racks of brass lamps, a gilded chair and metal stands, and to the right a grey stone bust of a man with a shaved head sits on the floor. The yellow walls and corrugated roof frame the scene.

Four men sit cross-legged on a wooden platform outdoors, working on large sheets of yellow paper spread across the boards. The man on the far left wears a white shirt and white dhoti and traces a design with a pen or stylus. Beside him a man in a white shirt and light trousers bends over the paper, while two men on the right, one in a checked shirt and one in a white polo shirt with pink trousers, watch the work. A partly carved white statue of a lion or similar figure sits behind them, with sacks and wooden poles in the shadows.

Two men work on a large carved wooden structure on a concrete floor in an open workshop. The man on the left wears a white sleeveless vest and checked lungi and bends over the wooden piece; the man on the right wears a grey sleeveless vest and checked shorts and kneels, holding a small tool. The wooden piece is a rounded, arched panel with raised carved moulding and a finial-like ornament. Scattered wood shavings, hand tools, a green plastic bottle and carved wooden fragments surround them, and a third worker in a white vest is partly visible in the background near a stacked pile of carved panels.

Two young men sit on the concrete floor of an open workshop carving a wooden piece with chisels and mallets. The man on the left wears a white sleeveless vest and checked lungi and steadies the wooden block with his hands. The man on the right wears a grey sleeveless vest and checked lungi and strikes the wood with a small mallet. Shavings and wood offcuts lie around them. Behind them, a third worker in a white vest works at another piece, and carved stone panels and a terracotta pot are visible against a block wall.
