The statue wears a white dhoti-style cloth, a white head wrap, a garland of white and red flowers, and a sacred thread-like ornament. Four boys stand at its base: a boy in a pale green shirt and khaki trousers reaches up to touch the statue's raised hand, while two others in striped and checked shirts and one partly hidden figure look on. A small offering of a white head wrap with flowers rests on a wooden plate in front of the base. A hanging rope swing is visible at the left.2006-05-01Outdoor photo under a large leafy tree showing a dark stone statue of a seated sage draped in white cloth with a gold-edged border, a white head wrap, a red and white flower garland, and a raised hand. Several boys in light blue and white shirts and shorts crowd close, reaching toward the statue and its base. Carved stone pillars frame the right side, and a seated person in a blue striped shirt is at the lower left. The statue is a depiction, not a living person.2006-05-01Outdoor temple grounds under banyan trees where a standing black stone deity murti, draped in a red backdrop and adorned with a yellow flower garland, a crown, and multiple necklaces, is being honoured. Three men in white dhoti and shirt, a checked shirt, and a pink shirt with green lungi stand behind her, watching. A silver arch frames the statue, and its base is smeared with orange-red paste and scattered petals. A small plaque at the base reads Dakshinamurthi shrine. A man in a white checked shirt and dark trousers bends forward with folded hands to offer respects at the base. A young boy in a yellow shirt and blue shorts stands to the left, and a woman in white is partly visible behind. No a person candidate is visible.2010-07-11Outdoor photo of a black stone statue in an orange-red painted base, set within a white ornamental arch framed by trees. The statue wears an orange-saffron cloth, an orange turban-like head covering, and two garlands of orange and white flowers, holding objects in its raised hands. Three men in white dhotis and white shirts stand before it: the man on the left has his palms pressed together, the middle man in white with a yellow shawl joins palms in prayer, and the man on the right in a yellow shawl bows with his head lowered. A brass tray with offerings sits on a small table at the base, and a broom leans against a column nearby, with a white wall and a green canopy overhead.2009-12-17September 24 20132013-09-24July 03 20102010-07-03December 19 20062006-12-19July 11 20102010-07-11 +1 copies
