A photograph of a ritual scene in a thatched-roof hall before a red-draped seat decorated with white jasmine garlands. A shaved-headed man in orange saffron robes and a green-and-white garland sits on the red seat while another man kneels before him, pressing his palms to the seated man's forehead. Beside them a younger man in white clothes sits holding a white plate. Standing behind are men in white shirts, one in glasses holding papers, and a girl in a blue floral dress on the right. Red cloth, flowers and a brass vessel lie on the floor. Appearance-based label: a person for the saffron-robed seated man, whose cues are the orange robe and garland on the red seat.2001-07-05December 20 20062006-12-20June 22 20142014-06-22July 01 20142014-07-01A seated person in a maroon and saffron dress and a red-and-gold turban sits on a red cushioned seat, holding a silver trident and wearing a garland of white flowers with red blossoms. Around them, a devotee in a yellow blouse and white dress kneels to wash or touch their feet, while an older man in white sits beside a brass vessel of flowers. Saffron-robed attendants stand behind, one holding a camera, and a standing man in white folds his hands in namaste; a young child is held aloft at the back of a small room with yellow walls. The scene reads as a padapuja at a devotee's home.2014-07-01Photograph of a Guru Poornima-style ceremony at night in a thatched or bamboo-walled space. A bald man in an orange-saffron robe with a floral garland sits on a red-cushioned seat and raises his hand in blessing. A kneeling man in a white-and-striped shirt and white dhoti, with a rudraksha-style mala at his neck, bows with joined palms before the seat, which is heaped with red cloth and white and pink flower garlands. A young attendant in white holds a plate beside the seat. Standing men in white shirts and dhotis and a figure in a checked shirt watch nearby, and a bronze vessel sits in the background.2001-07-05July 01 20142014-07-01June 23 20142014-06-23 +2 copiesJuly 02 20142014-07-02 +1 copiesJune 27 20142014-06-27 +1 copiesA seated man in a rust-red robe with a gold-bordered orange cloth draped over an orange-cushioned seat holds a silver trident aloft, wearing a long garland of red roses and white flowers and a rudraksha mala. Before him, a woman in a white sari with gold border and flowers in her hair sits on a patterned mat while a man in white shirt pours from a metal vessel over a plate. The setting suggests a ritual puja.2014-07-04 +1 copiesA photo of a padapuja-style ritual in a decorated hall. A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes with a mala sits on a gold-carved red throne draped with white and orange flower garlands, extending his hand toward a silver bowl held by a man in saffron behind him.
