March 08 20142014-03-08July 19 20152015-07-19A seated man in saffron-orange robes with a gold-bordered cloth and a long gold bead necklace reaches forward and places his right palm on the forehead of a younger man in a white shirt and orange-red shawl with printed script, who raises both hands in greeting. Behind them a woman in white and a dark rudraksha-style mala watches, and a silver staff stands at left beside a figure in white with a red shawl. A dark red backdrop and a gold-trimmed ornate seat frame the scene. The seated man has a distinctive long-hair and ornate-adornment appearance, so he is noted as a person candidate in person, while the others are identified only by role. A sticker-style badge hangs from the younger man's shawl.2015-07-17A photograph of two men in close, intimate contact at the forehead in an indoor hall. The figure on the left, a bare-shouldered man with long dark hair in a low knot, wears a gold-and-orange wrap and a beaded rudraksha-style necklace, and presses his palm to the forehead of a second man. That second man wears a white kurta with a saffron-orange shawl bearing printed motifs and has his hand raised above his head. Behind them, seated devotees in light clothing watch, and a golden ceremonial object appears at the lower left. The scene appears to be a forehead blessing or initiation moment.2014-03-06Indoor photo of a devotee in a white kurta with a red shawl having his forehead touched by a woman in an orange-red saffron-bordered garment with a gold border and a rudraksha mala, her arm extended in a blessing gesture. She holds a yellow-and-blue ceremonial object tied to a white cord. Behind them, a shaved-headed man with white tilak marks sits in saffron robes and other people in orange and red shawls stand in a bright hall.2014-03-08A photograph of a seated figure in saffron-orange robes with a bare shoulder, long swept-back dark hair, a white forehead mark and rudraksha malas on the chest, smiling and extending an arm toward a standing man in a white kurta with an orange shawl who raises both hands near his face. The seated figure sits beside a golden lion-form seat and a silver staff with a ring finial, in a temple-like hall with orange and white lattice panels and an air conditioner. Swamiji (probable) is the seated figure in saffron robes with rudraksha malas and long hair, giving a blessing during a pada-puja style ritual. A woman in a white sari with a forehead mark is partly visible at the right edge.2014-09-05April 24 20172017-04-24Photograph of a ritual blessing in an indoor hall with cream walls and a gold-patterned backdrop. A woman in a maroon-red garment with a gold hair ornament and a dark rudraksha-style necklace reaches up and presses her palm to the forehead of a smiling man in a white kurta with a red-orange shawl and a lanyard, who holds his hands raised in namaste-like gesture. Another person in white stands behind them. Ritual blessing. Watermarked archive photo.2013-12-21July 13 20132013-07-13A photograph of an outdoor evening ceremony beside a golden ornate chair with an orange fringed canopy at the left edge. A man with long dark hair in a bun, a gold-and-brown beaded mala and a rust-red draped garment touches the forehead of a older man with grey hair who wears a white shirt, a red-and-white sash and beaded malas, with his palms raised. Behind them, women in gold and rust saris and white garments stand among onlookers, with white canopy tents and trees in the background. The scene suggests a blessing exchange, with the seated figure's palms raised near his face as if receiving it.2013-12-20A photograph of an indoor ritual in a warm-lit hall. A man with long dark hair tied back, bare-shouldered and wearing a saffron-orange garment with a rudraksha mala, reaches out and places his palm on the forehead of a standing man in a white kurta with a saffron-red shawl printed with script. The standing man raises one hand in a blessing gesture. Two seated women in saffron and white are visible in the background, and a golden vessel edge appears at the lower left. The first man appears to be a probable Swamiji by appearance cues including swept-back long hair, saffron garment and rudraksha mala, performing a blessing or diksha-style touch.2014-03-08March 30 20142014-03-30
