December 23 20082008-12-23A standing man in saffron-orange robes wears a long white and red flower garland and a dark rudraksha mala. He has long swept-back dark hair, white sacred ash and a red dot on his forehead, and holds a brass bell in his right hand. Beside him stands a tall brass oil lamp, and a seated devotee in orange with a gold necklace bows his head while a hand in orange cloth rests on it. Smoke drifts in the background beneath a stone canopy with trees behind. The photo appears to show a ritual blessing during temple proceedings.2008-12-25May 05 20122012-05-05A photograph of a man with long, swept-back black hair and a red bindi, wearing an orange robe and a thick white and red flower garland over ornate gold beaded necklaces. He holds a silver handbell in his right hand and raises a brass bell in his left, standing outdoors under trees. Behind him, several men in saffron robes and gold necklaces stand in a row, one with a full dark beard, and a man in white clothing stands to the left. A brass kalasha-like finial is visible above in the background. The man has long hair, orange robes and gold beaded necklaces, consistent with the page's Swamiji label; the identification is an appearance-based probable match.2008-12-23A man with long, swept-back dark hair and a white-and-red forehead mark stands in profile beside a tall brass oil lamp with a bird-shaped finial, holding a lit lamp with yellow flowers on its tray. He wears a sleeveless saffron-orange garment and a long white and red flower garland, under a stone roof with a pink curtain and green foliage behind. A second man in saffron robes and a gold beaded necklace stands at left holding a small brass vessel. The scene suggests a temple lamp offering or aarti on an open-air platform.2008-12-25 +1 copiesA photograph of a man with long dark hair and a red tilak on his forehead, wearing a sleeveless orange-saffron robe, a long garland of white and red flowers, and a rudraksha mala around his neck with a gold chain. He stands at a stone pillar in an outdoor temple setting, reaching toward a silver plate of pink petals held by a younger attendant in orange robes and a gold necklace. A pink cloth hangs behind and greenery is visible at left. The visible cues are long swept hair, saffron clothing, rudraksha mala and ceremonial gold necklace, consistent with the page's description of a person presence, but identity is uncertain from appearance.2009-07-07Outdoor ritual photograph under trees with bright daylight. A central man with long dark hair, a red bindi and a sweeping orange-saffron robe wears a heavy white and red flower garland with gold beads, and holds a silver bell in his right hand while raising a brass lamp with a flame in his left. He has a probable Swamiji appearance cue: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and ceremonial gold beads. Behind him stand several saffron-robed devotees with gold necklaces, a shaved-headed priest with a white tilak, and a man in white with a mala. A brass kalasha-style finial stands among the trees.2008-12-23A photograph of a man in orange saffron robes and an orange turban edged with gold, wearing a long garland of white jasmine and red and green flowers over a rudraksha mala. He holds a silver ghanta bell in one hand and a brass aarti lamp with a lit flame in the other, performing puja. Behind him a second man in orange robes holds a brass lamp and stands beside a white table with small brass bowls, with incense smoke rising. A wall fuse box and a blue Nithyanandapedia-style logo appear in the background. The first man has long dark hair under the turban and a visible rudraksha mala, cues consistent with the event's Swamiji, so the appearance-based label is used.2006-10-12A temple ritual scene with a man in saffron-orange robes wearing a long white and red flower garland and a gold-beaded necklace, a red bindi and white tilak on his forehead, and bangles on his wrists; he holds white petals in one hand while another man in orange dhoti and shawl with white tilak carries a gold tray. Behind them stand a large deity murti and a tall multicoloured flower garland of red, yellow, green and purple blooms, with a gold hand-gesture sculpture above. Carved stone pillars frame the temple hall. Candidate appearance is a long-haired figure with several cues but this is uncertain, so the central man is described by role as a devotee performing an offering.2011-12-11A photograph of a man in an orange saffron turban and orange robe, wearing a garland of white and red flowers with green accents and a rudraksha mala, holding a brass oil lamp (aarti) with a lit flame. Behind him a second man in orange holds a silver bell while smoke drifts through the room. On the left a woman in a cream and orange sari stands with hands in anjali mudra. Brass bowls sit on a white table in the foreground. The man with the turban and long hair matches the page's appearance cues for a person performing the aarti during a puja.2006-10-12A man with long, dark, swept-back hair stands under a decorated canopy hung with marigold, yellow and red garlands. He wears an orange-saffron robe with a gold-bordered shawl and a white and red flower garland around his neck, and holds a lit oil lamp in a small metal dish with a flame. To the right, another man in a dark shirt holds a silver bowl. Green banana leaves and a striped tent roof are visible behind. The appearance matches the Swamiji cues of long hair, saffron clothing and garlands, and the page indicates he is present, so this is a probable identification in an aarti-style offering at a celebration.2007-01-01August 01 20082008-08-01
