He has long swept-back dark hair, white sacred ash and a red dot on his forehead, and holds a brass bell in his right hand. Beside him stands a tall brass oil lamp, and a seated devotee in orange with a gold necklace bows his head while a hand in orange cloth rests on it. Smoke drifts in the background beneath a stone canopy with trees behind. The photo appears to show a ritual blessing during temple proceedings.2008-12-25A photograph of a procession inside a temple courtyard. In the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair and a white forehead mark wears a saffron-orange shawl and a thick garland of white and magenta flowers with gold beads, plus gold bangles on his upper arm. He smiles and walks forward. Beside him on the left, a shaved-headed priest in saffron robes and a rudraksha mala holds a tall silver staff, while a priest in white dhoti and shawl walks behind. Other devotees in white and saffron stand in the background, and an attendant on the right holds a brass tray. Orange-painted walls and pillars frame the scene.2011-12-11
