December 23 20082008-12-23May 05 20122012-05-05Outdoor ritual photograph under trees with bright daylight. A central man with long dark hair, a red bindi and a sweeping orange-saffron robe wears a heavy white and red flower garland with gold beads, and holds a silver bell in his right hand while raising a brass lamp with a flame in his left. He has a probable Swamiji appearance cue: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and ceremonial gold beads. Behind him stand several saffron-robed devotees with gold necklaces, a shaved-headed priest with a white tilak, and a man in white with a mala. A brass kalasha-style finial stands among the trees.2008-12-23December 25 20082008-12-25 +1 copiesOutdoor procession photograph. He holds a silver handbell in one hand and a flaming oil lamp in the other. Behind him a golden trident is visible, and above is a colourful umbrella or canopy with blue, yellow, green and red panels and tassels. He holds a silver handbell in his right hand and raises a brass bell in his left, standing outdoors under trees. Behind him, several men in saffron robes and gold necklaces stand in a row, one with a full dark beard, and a man in white clothing stands to the left. A brass kalasha-like finial is visible above in the background. The man has long hair, orange robes and gold beaded necklaces, consistent with the page's Swamiji label; the identification is an appearance-based probable match.2008-12-23A standing man in saffron-orange robes wears a long white and red flower garland and a dark rudraksha mala. He has long swept-back dark hair, white sacred ash and a red dot on his forehead, and holds a brass bell in his right hand. Beside him stands a tall brass oil lamp, and a seated devotee in orange with a gold necklace bows his head while a hand in orange cloth rests on it. Smoke drifts in the background beneath a stone canopy with trees behind. The photo appears to show a ritual blessing during temple proceedings.2008-12-25Outdoor temple ritual under trees.
