A bare-chested man with a swept-back hair and an orange turban, wearing an orange shawl, sits on a low wooden seat and receives offerings of sliced fruit from people kneeling beside him. Around them, devotees in white dhotis and white saris with gold borders wear orange shawls, and a cameraman films the scene. Palm fronds and hanging decorations frame the tent, consistent with a ceremony at the Salem ashram inauguration.2006-11-12September 17 20102010-09-17Indoor photograph in a plain white-walled hall with orange cloth spread on the floor. In the foreground, a woman in an orange sari with maroon border bends forward and receives a small offering from a bald man in white dhoti and shawl who kneels at right. Behind her, several shaved-headed men in orange robes with rudraksha malas stand in a line, some smiling. A steel vessel, a brass plate and a garlanded stand with white flowers sit at right. No individual is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance cues alone, so no identification is made.2011-03-05November 07 20112011-11-07A photograph inside a plain white-walled room showing a shaved-headed man in white ritual dhoti and shawl with a red border and a rudraksha mala, kneeling on a mat and reaching toward a seated figure. A woman in a white blouse with an orange-saffron shawl kneels beside him, bending over a devotee's bowed head; other people in white clothing stand at left. Behind them is a framed image with marigold and red flower garlands, and a microphone stand is visible at right. The scene appears to be a devotional ritual or blessing in white garments.2011-03-05
