A bare-chested man in saffron-orange cloth with a rudraksha mala and white sacred ash on his forehead and chest holds a white cloth with fruit and a coconut-like offering while a woman in white with a red-and-white shawl places her hands on it. Beside him, a person in orange-and-gold bordered saffron cloth with white ash marks holds papers. Other women in white and red shawls sit nearby, with water bottles on the floor and rows of seated devotees in white and orange behind. The scene appears to be a blessing or puja exchange.2016-02-16A photograph of a temple ritual with devotees in white. Paper lanterns in red and blue hang in the background above a line of white-clad devotees waiting for blessings, with a man in white and red bending forward and a woman in white with folded hands at left.2010-12-31May 08 20172017-05-08Outdoor ritual gathering under a decorated pandal on a red carpet. A bare-chested man with a swept-back hair and an orange turban, wearing an orange shawl, sits on a low wooden seat and receives offerings of sliced fruit from people kneeling beside him. Around them, devotees in white dhotis and white saris with gold borders wear orange shawls, and a cameraman films the scene. Palm fronds and hanging decorations frame the tent, consistent with a ceremony at the Salem ashram inauguration.2006-11-12
