Dozens of devotees line both sides of the road in orange and saffron clothing, with some children in orange robes at the front-left and white-clad people walking near the centre. A small child in a red shirt stands at the right edge holding hands with an adult. Torches or lights illuminate the path ahead of the lit vehicle, and a rudraksha-adorned figure in dark robes may be walking in the centre near the palanquin. Dark trees and a building are faintly visible on the right.2016-02-17August 14 20172017-08-14Night outdoor scene on sandy ground lit by harsh floodlights and street lamps. In the foreground a young woman in an orange kurta and matching pants stands at left, while on the right a figure in a long orange robe faces away from the camera. Several people in orange outfits stand and dance in a circle, and a row of children and young people in orange sit on the sand watching. Behind them a crowd of onlookers in white, pink and saffron clothing stands near metal fencing and shipping-container-like walls. The setting suggests a festival game or dance performance.2017-08-14May 01 20152015-05-01Night photograph of a Krishna Janmashtami game at an outdoor sandy ground lit by floodlights, with a corrugated metal-roofed shed and chain-link fence behind. A group of about twenty people in orange and saffron clothing dance and play in a circle or line, some holding hands or reaching toward each other. Seated children in orange sit at the left edge of the sand, and a standing crowd in white and cream clothes watches from the background. A man in an orange t-shirt and orange trousers stands at left facing the group. A woman in a white sari at the right edge holds a microphone. A copyright overlay appears at the lower right.2017-08-14Night photograph of a group of people in orange and saffron clothing performing a dance game on a sandy open ground lit by bright floodlights. Women in orange saris and orange salwar-style outfits stand in a circle, linking arms and leaning into a lively movement, while a figure in a long orange garment in the foreground faces away from the camera. Onlookers in white and cream dhotis and saris watch from the background, and some children sit on the sand at the right edge. The setting resembles a community celebration with playful group movement rather than a formal ritual.2017-08-14February 17 20162016-02-17August 14 20172017-08-14Night outdoor gathering in front of a red corrugated metal fence, with a yellow arched building and a small blue-and-white device at upper left. Dense crowd of devotees in saffron-orange dhotis and shawls, many wearing rudraksha malas and white or orange vibhuti and tilak markings. Foreground young boys and women press palms together in anjali, some men and women in white traditional dress with gold-trimmed cloth. At right a bare-chested man in white dhoti and gold-bordered cloth stands near a ceremonial red-and-gold fabric. No clearly identifiable a person is visible; the scene appears to be a procession or ritual gathering, possibly part of Karthigai Deepam observances.2017-12-02
