A village street in Tamil Nadu with a large orange hoarding on a pole-mounted frame, showing a painted deity figure, a robed figure in orange and red, and a smiling portrait of a man with a tilak-marked face, with Tamil text below. Several people stand on the dirt road in front of the hoarding: a woman in a blue sari, a man in a white shirt and white dhoti, and another man in white. A woman in an orange sari walks at right. Coconut palms, leafy decorations, and colourful pennants line the road, with parked motorbikes and a bicycle in the foreground.2014-06-24June 24 20142014-06-24 +1 copiesA roadside scene on a dirt verge beside a paved road, lined with tall coconut palms under an overcast sky. Two large orange banners are displayed: the larger one on a stand shows a smiling man wearing an orange turban and orange clothing beside Tamil and English lettering reading Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam. A smaller orange banner with a similar portrait is mounted on a small white truck parked at the right. Several motorcycles are parked in front of the big banner, a man in a white dhoti rides a bicycle at left, and a few men in light clothing sit on the grass near the truck. A peacock graphic appears on the truck's side. The banners show a portrait, not a physical person, so the only physical people are the bicycle rider and the seated men.2012-01-04A street photograph in a small Tamil Nadu town showing a roadside lined with palm trees and low shop buildings. A large yellow and pink banner stretches across the road with Tamil text and a figure in orange robes with a red head covering. Two more tall banners on poles show similar saffron-robed figures, one beside a flag pole flying saffron, white and green flags. Motorcyclists and a cyclist pass, and a small group of people stands on the right near a loudspeaker set. Tall orange-robed banner figures feature prominently; the people on the street are ordinary passersby and attendees.2006-11-25November 25 20092009-11-25November 25 20062006-11-25June 24 20142014-06-24 +1 copiesA street scene in a village lane with houses, palm trees and a tiled roof.
