A photograph taken from behind shows a person in an orange shawl over bare shoulders and a dark beaded necklace, raising a silver multi-branch lamp with five lit flames toward a pair of deep red curtains. Another red drape hangs to the right, and a glimpse of a lit doorway and a patterned rug is visible beyond. The figure is out of focus and their face is not shown. The lamp appears to be a ritual aarti lamp.2017-07-07A photograph taken from behind of a person with dark hair and bare upper back, wearing an orange cloth draped over the shoulder and a rudraksha-style mala at the neck. White tilak marks are on his forehead and arms. A deep red velvet curtain and a pale wall form the background.2014-11-30August 02 20172017-08-02A photograph of a single person seen from behind, holding up a silver multi-branched oil lamp with several lit flames in a ritual gesture. The person has short dark curly hair, an orange cloth draped over the shoulder, a dark beaded necklace, and white markings painted across the bare back. Behind them hang deep red velvet curtains with a dim recess between them, and a small ceiling spotlight is visible at the top. The scene suggests an aarti offering in a stage-like setting. The figure is not clearly recognizable as a person from appearance, so the role is described as a devotee performing aarti.2017-07-28October 13 20172017-10-13
