Two priests in white dhoti-style clothing stand on either side: the one on the left wears a long rudraksha mala with a small pendant, and the one on the right wears a plain white cloth with a dark rudraksha mala. Incense sticks stand in the foreground and a dark background surrounds the scene.2013-10-15Close view of a homa fire pit with split logs and dry stalks burning in a dark trough, smoke rising and a small flame at the center. Beside it a silver bowl holds yellow offerings and a silver lid or dish is raised in the upper left. Behind, a person in white clothing with a long brown rudraksha mala is seated, one hand extended over the fire in a ritual gesture, with a corner of orange cloth visible at the left edge. Only partial limbs and torso are visible, and no face is shown.2013-10-15November 29 20112011-11-29February 20 20162016-02-20 +1 copiesClose view of a homa fire burning in a brick-lined fire pit at night, with flames rising over scattered flower petals and marigold-like garlands. A brass bowl with a decorated rim sits at the right edge of the pit. Two people are partly visible: on the left a bare-chested priest in white dhoti with long gold-bead necklaces seated behind the fire, and on the right a person in white dhoti with a metal bangle, reaching toward the fire with an offering. A red cloth mat lies in the background, and a sacred thread is visible around the pit.2018-01-06A brick-lined fire pit with a bright flame rising from dry sticks inside, the homa fire at the centre of the frame. Behind it, a seated officiant in white clothing with a gold-bordered cloth sits cross-legged, hands raised near the flame. Brass vessels, a small bowl and an open book lie on the right, and a metal stand stands beside the pit. The flame suggests an offering ritual, with the officiant's face not visible.2011-11-29January 07 20152015-01-07 +1 copiesNovember 29 20112011-11-29November 28 20152015-11-28 +1 copiesDecember 31 20112011-12-31A homa fire ritual in progress. The right priest holds a brass plate and a ladle-like spoon over a flaming fire pit built from brick-like blocks decorated with white and red patterns. Brass oil lamps with lit wicks stand at the left edge, along with small brass bowls and a metal vessel. The foreground is warmly lit with glowing flames.2012-02-09
