A photograph of a festival procession moving across an open dirt ground toward a distant decorated float. Many devotees walk in a long line; several women in white and yellow saris carry brass pots with green leaves and flowers on their heads, and some people are marked with red and yellow powder. Men wear white dhotis and shirts, and a figure in an orange robe walks near the front. A small boy in a red shirt and a child in a dark t-shirt stand at the right edge. A red-and-white helicopter-like vehicle and a brick boundary wall appear in the background under an overcast sky.

Outdoor procession on a dirt and grass field with a brick compound wall and unfinished buildings behind. A large decorated ratha or chariot with a canopy moves in the background, with a second decorated float and a tall ceremonial pole behind it. In the foreground, a line of devotees walks barefoot: women in white and yellow saris and men in white dhotis carry brass pots and kalasha vessels with green leaves on their heads, and several have red kumkum on their faces. Men in orange and saffron robes walk among the crowd, and children in white and pink clothing join the procession. Most of the crowd is in the middle distance and background.

Outdoor procession on a sandy open ground during Dasara celebrations at Sripuram Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam in Hyderabad. Many people walk in a long line: women in white saris with yellow borders and yellow shawls carry brass pots and kalasha vessels with green leaves on their heads or in their hands, and men in white dhotis and cream shirts walk barefoot. A man in a white shirt and dhoti at the front left plays a long wind instrument, and another man in a cream shirt beside him blows a horn or pipe. Behind them a decorated chariot or ratha with a rounded canopy and a painted figure stands in the distance, with a red-and-yellow umbrella above the crowd. Children in bright clothes watch from the right side, and a brick wall and buildings frame the background under an overcast sky.

A long procession of people in white dhotis and white saris walks along a dirt track through dry, freshly ploughed fields toward a line of palm trees. A man in the foreground at left carries a barrel drum with a red strap, and another man in white stands at far left. Several ornate colourful umbrellas or canopies with decorative fringes rise above the crowd, and a few women carry flowers and small offerings. Children walk among the marchers, and a man in a grey shirt and trousers walks near the front. A few onlookers stand at the right edge beside the field.

A long procession of devotees walks along a dirt road lined with a wire fence, palm trees and tall utility poles under a pale sky. Many women and men in white clothing carry brass pots or vessels balanced on their heads, some with one hand raised to steady them. Several women wear saris in white, cream and blue with blue lanyard-style cords, and a woman in a beige sari walks near the front. No single figure is clearly identifiable as a person, and the scene shows only devotees and attendants in the line.

A large outdoor procession on a dirt ground at a construction-site-like venue, with many people in white dhotis and kurtas, others in saffron/orange robes, and drummers in the foreground playing barrel-shaped drums. A decorated palanquin or ratha canopy with a multicoloured striped umbrella top is carried at the centre, with a tall ornate structure behind it. Several men in saffron robes walk near the canopy, one with a bare shaved head and ornate beaded necklaces. Tin-roofed sheds and a red building appear in the background under a clear sky. Whether the saffron-robed figure near the canopy is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance alone.

A large outdoor procession moves along a dirt road lined with palm trees and banana plants, with a bamboo scaffold structure and rocky hills behind. Several decorated palanquins or ratha-style canopies with colourful domes and fringed panels are carried at the centre. Many participants wear white and cream clothing, with women in white or blue saris and men in white shirts and dhotis; some men wear orange or saffron cloth. Drummers with large drums walk along the right side, and a garland-decorated red and orange bunting line runs along the route. A woman in a brown sari stands at the lower right. The scene appears to be a festival procession. Exact headcount is not feasible, but the crowd is large.
