Overhead photo of a round stainless steel thali tray on a dark surface holding several small steel bowls of food, garnished with pink and yellow flower petals. Bowls contain cashews with rice, chickpeas in broth, two portions of semolina or upma-style dish with curry leaves and dried chilies, a finely grated coconut and spice mixture, an orange chutney or sauce, and small fried savoury cakes. Plain prasadam-style meal arrangement; no people, deity or event setting is visible.

Close-up photograph of food offerings arranged on a red velvet cloth. In the foreground, a steel bowl holds a stack of round, spiral-shaped savoury snacks with sesame seeds. Behind it, a bowl of dark grey-black round balls sits beside a bowl of orange-coloured crisp chickpeas and bowls of fried snacks at the edges. No people are visible. The setting suggests naivedyam, food arranged as a temple offering.

Overhead photo of a food offering on a stainless steel thali tray placed on a light speckled countertop. Small steel bowls hold a pale brown liquid garnished with a red rose petal, a round dark brown dish, yellow spiced grain mixture, dark coconut-like powder, and a small brass lamp. A bowl of golden fried round dumplings sits beside them. A second steel bowl holds brown round sweet balls decorated with curry leaves and red petals. No people are visible.

Overhead photograph of three stainless steel bowls arranged on a round silver steel plate placed on a dark wooden surface. The upper bowl holds cooked brown chickpeas dusted with grated coconut. The lower left bowl holds two round, golden-brown lumps of a grainy preparation. The right bowl holds a yellow, lentil-like mash topped with a layer of coarse brown sugar-coated grains. No people or a person are visible; the setting suggests food offerings arranged on a plate.

Overhead photo of a polished stainless steel thali plate holding several small bowls of food offerings on a dark wooden surface. Bowls contain creamy white kheer garnished with saffron strands and a purple petal, shredded cabbage with mustard seeds, a thick grey-beige porridge-like dish, a yellow curry with vegetables, grated beetroot topped with an orange petal, and a small bowl of clarified butter or ghee with an orange petal. At the upper right, a red rudraksha mala and a green fabric with gold zari border are partly visible. No people are visible.

Overhead photo of sweets and snacks arranged on a deep red velvet cloth. Brass bowls with perforated rims hold round laddus in yellow, cream, grey and brown tones, and a heap of pale spiral snack. Blue ceramic bowls contain more laddus in brown, grey, cream and golden shades, and a blue bowl holds puffed rice-type balls. No people or deity visible; the arrangement looks like food offerings laid out for a ritual.

A top-down photo of a round stainless steel thali plate with seven compartments set on a blue shimmer-striped cloth. Clockwise from the top: crisp fried papad-like pieces, a golden chutney or stewed fruit preparation, a mound of white chickpeas (chana), cooked grated vegetable with onion, white grated coconut or curd-like paste, and fried fritters or sweets soaking in a dark syrup in the centre cup, with thin fried strips in a cup at the left. No people, deities or ritual fire are visible; the offering is a food plate.
