May 19 20132013-05-19Photograph of a single young performer in a hall with cream walls and framed photographs. A bare-chested child in red shorts with a dark braid hangs upside down from a wooden pole, gripping it with both feet. Hanging fabric banners in red, green and orange decorate the left side, and framed photo panels line the back wall. The scene resembles a Shivastambha-style pole demonstration described in the page. No identifiable a person visible; the framed photographs are printed images, not people.2018-05-20 +1 copiesA photograph of a young man performing a pole-climbing or Shivastambha-style balance on a tall wooden pole in a hall with a pale pink wall and a suspended ceiling. Two colourful cloth banners in red, green and orange hang from the ceiling. He wears orange shorts and is shirtless. Two shirtless boys in orange-striped shorts sit and watch him from the right, and two men in dark athletic jackets kneel on red mats at the pole's base, one wearing a jacket with a printed emblem. Behind them a painted deity murti with four arms, gold crown and ornaments, holding a mace and other objects, stands beside a decorated shrine doorway with hanging brass lamps. Red velvet drapes hang above.2013-05-19A young acrobat in orange shorts performs a backbend on top of a tall wooden pole in a hall with a maroon velvet valance. Below, several seated young men in dark shorts and a grey-and-orange jacket steady the pole with their hands on red floor cushions. Behind them a painted, multicoloured deity murti stands with four arms, a crown and gold necklaces beside painted columns.
