Night outdoor ritual at an ashram courtyard: a large black stone deity murti stands at left, garlanded with green and red flower garlands, while a devotee in white dhoti with bare chest and a man in a white shirt and white dhoti hold a lit oil lamp (aarti) before it. Several people, some with faces and hair dusted in pink and yellow powder, stand with hands folded in prayer. A blue-canopied vehicle with a decorated, colourful ornate chariot or palanquin with a striped canopy stands behind. A camera operator in white shirt films the scene. Other devotees in white and green garments stand nearby, with a framed picture on the left wall and ceremonial standards with gold fringe on the right.2013-01-01Night procession outdoors at an ashram. A large black stone deity murti with a garland of red flowers stands at left, with a sash over its shoulders. Several devotees in white clothes, some with pink and magenta colour on their faces and shoulders, stand in a crowd with hands in anjali. A young man in white dhoti and a shirtless man at centre hold a brass vessel and offering tray near a brass plate. Behind them a decorated vehicle with a blue canopy, gold ornaments and a ratha-style carriage is visible, with ceremonial flags and umbrellas, and a lamp glows near the vehicle. The scene appears to be a devotional procession with abhishekam-style offerings. +1 copiesJanuary 1st 2013 +1 copiesJanuary 09 20132013-01-09December 31 20152015-12-31Night-time outdoor ritual at a temple courtyard.
