Close view of a large ornate metal vessel with a hammered, checkered pattern and embossed rim, filled with white grains or rice. A hand with bangles and a beaded bracelet holds a shallow silver-toned plate partly over the vessel, while another hand in the background sprinkles or adjusts the contents. A white cloth with a red border and an orange cloth lie beneath. No face of any person is visible, so the scene reads as a ritual preparation such as an offering or grain-filling step.2012-04-30Close photo of a large woven brass or copper vessel filled with white grains. A gold bangle is visible on the wrist, and the lower edge shows a white and maroon cloth and orange ground. Only hands and cloth are visible, with no identifiable person's face or full figure.2012-04-30Close-up of a pair of hands pouring or scooping fine pale grain from a small ornate silver-coloured plate into a large engraved metal bucket filled with the same grain. The bucket has a repoussé scroll border and a woven basket-like pattern. Gold bangles are worn on the wrist. Behind, a person in a white garment with a maroon border stands on a dark floor beside an orange cloth. The scene looks like a ritual grain offering or measuring at a temple or ashram, with no visible crowd.2012-04-30June 23 20132013-06-23Close-up photograph of a ritual offering at a temple. A copper vessel filled with white milk sits at the lower left, and a hand holds a small silver spoon-like ladle over a cupped palm receiving milk. Several other hands reach in from the top and sides, and a rudraksha mala is visible on a wrist at the upper right. The figures wear white garments, and a saffron cloth edge appears at the lower right. The scene suggests a milk offering or abhishekam-style pouring, consistent with a pradosha puja.2007-09-24Close photograph of a ritual abhishekam being performed at a golden tray. A woman in a red and orange sari, wearing red and black bangles, pours milk from a small silver bowl with a lid over the offering tray, while another hand holds a second lidded silver vessel above the tray. The gold-coloured plates hold a red apple-like fruit, a small bowl of white liquid, flower petals and a pink flower. Two blurred heads in the foreground frame the scene.2011-11-01November 01 20112011-11-01December 20 20152015-12-20September 14 20142014-09-14September 09 20162016-09-09April 26 20182018-04-26 +1 copiesClose photograph of a homa or fire ritual: a hand in a brown-and-gold cloth lifts a large polished silver bowl, pouring a golden liquid into a bright flame and billowing smoke. Beside it, a second figure in brown and gold ceremonial cloth holds a ladle or spoon. A small silver dish of offerings sits at lower left. The orange glow and rising smoke dominate the frame. Only partial bodies are visible, cropped at the edges.2014-09-14
