Before the throne sit devotees in white clothes and yellow shawls, some with folded hands, while a figure in an orange robe kneels nearby with hands joined. Trays hold fruit, sweets, flowers and a small brass lamp on a white cloth, and a golden-yellow curtain and a vase of yellow flowers fill the background. The scene shows a padha pooja ritual with a devotee seated before the throne in the foreground.2009-08-15August 15 20102010-08-15February 18 20112011-02-18A seated figure in an orange saffron robe with a white and green flower garland sits on a gold and red-cushioned throne in front of gold curtains, hands pressed together in prayer. Before him on a white cloth stand a gold tray of pink flower petals, a silver plate, and a platter of sweets. A woman in a peach sari and a white-clad older man sit on the floor at left, offering flower petals with their hands. At right, a figure in orange robes kneels with hands folded, and two more people in yellow and dark clothing sit beside him. A vase of sunflowers and a fan are visible.2009-08-15December 08 20092009-12-08August 15 20092009-08-15December 08 20092009-12-08December 03 20092009-12-03A photograph of a padha pooja in an ashram hall with gold curtains. A man with long dark hair, wearing an orange robe and a multicolour garland of yellow and red flowers, sits with palms pressed together on an ornate gold throne with red cushions. Before him, a seated devotee in an orange-yellow sari pours or offers from a tray. Other devotees sit on white cloth: a woman in a pink sari and a man in a white shirt, a child, and a woman in green. On the right, a young man in an orange robe tends the offering tray, and two men in white with yellow shawls sit nearby. Trays hold fruit, sweets, coconuts, flowers and a kalasha-like vessel, and a tall decorated vase of sunflowers stands to the right.2009-08-15A photograph of a ritual in a plain room with mint-green walls and a green curtain. On the right, a figure seated on the floor wears an orange and maroon garment, a white jasmine and red flower garland, and a rudraksha mala; they hold a long silver staff topped with an ornament and extend a hand toward a brass plate of flower garlands, fruit and offerings. Seated women in white saris with orange borders receive the plate and garlands, while young men in orange robes and rudraksha malas sit behind. Standing devotees in white and green saris and white dhotis watch from the left and back. The visible scene suggests a puja with offerings; a person-style presence cannot be confirmed from appearance alone, so the seated ritual leader is described by role.2014-07-04 +1 copiesAugust 15 20092009-08-15
