Night outdoor ceremony in a palm-lined courtyard. Seated on a red and white striped dais in the foreground are rows of young people in orange and saffron robes, some with orange shawls and garlands, performing a ritual. A white covered platform holds a red and white flower garland, brass vessels, plates of offerings, and a small oil lamp, with a golden cloth draped over a wooden stand. Behind them a large white pedestal with a golden deity murti stands beneath a tall palm and a golden kalasha-topped pillar. A seated crowd of devotees in white and orange clothing fills the rear, and kolam designs decorate the ground.

Night-time outdoor photograph of a large crowd of devotees gathered on a sandy ground beneath tall coconut palms, with a tall ceremonial pole rising at the centre. Many people in white dhotis, white saris and white kurtas stand with hands folded in anjali, while others in orange and saffron robes stand or kneel nearby. Yellow marigold petals are scattered on the ground, and a woman in white holds a garland of yellow flowers. A striped canopy and a cross-bar structure stand at the right, with a few white statues visible behind the trees. Several figures in orange clothing appear at the right edge. The scene suggests a devotional reception or procession line.

Outdoor dusk ritual in a palm-lined courtyard at night. On the left, a tall lit oil lamp stands on a white pedestal beside an orange-red stepped platform. A white-clad figure and several monks in saffron robes tend a small table with offerings and burning lamps. A line of devotees stands in a row on the right: women in orange and white saris with hands folded in anjali, and men in white dhotis with yellow shawls. Round kolam-like patterns are drawn in the dirt in front of the line. The scene reads as a deepam lamp-lighting for Karthikai Deepam.

Night outdoor ceremony in an ashram courtyard lit by warm lights, with palm trees behind. Dozens of devotees sit cross-legged on woven mats in rows, many with hands folded in anjali. Most women wear red, orange and maroon saris with gold borders and bangles; many men wear white dhotis and white shirts. Two microphones on stands sit in the foreground beside a tray of red offerings. Behind them a small orange shrine holds a deity murti with floral garlands and a row of lamps, and a tall decorated kalasha-style pillar stands nearby. Several people in the back row wear saffron-orange clothing.

Night outdoor ritual on a riverside ghat beside a brick-lined fire pit with bright flames, a silver trident standing upright at left, and brass vessels, a kalasha-style pot and red flower offerings in front. A figure in orange-saffron shawl with long dark hair and gold ornaments sits at left tending the fire. Several men in white dhotis and bare or red-banded heads, some with red or orange cloths and rudraksha, sit beside the fire and handle offerings. A large audience of many devotees in white and red clothes sits on the steps behind, with a cameraman and bright floodlights lit against the dark. Smoke drifts across the scene. Dress and fire suggest a homa-style ceremony, and the orange-clad figure cannot be confirmed as a person from appearance alone.

A homa or yagna ritual is performed in an open pavilion decorated with banana plants and leaf garlands strung overhead. Smoke rises from a central fire pit. Several people in orange and saffron robes sit cross-legged around it, with one saffron-clad man in the centre wearing a white tilak and a rudraksha mala, seated behind the pit. Seated devotees in orange clothing face the altar. A younger woman in a white sari with gold border sits in the foreground beside a brass oil lamp with a bright flame. Brass vessels, a brass lamp, fruit, flowers, and woven baskets with offerings fill the altar to the right. People in white and yellow stand and sit at the edges, and a woman with long hair appears in the back of the group.
