2011 - Glimpses Of KailashYatra

Photograph of a dim, narrow stone-walled inner shrine with a grey concrete floor and a low-hanging lamp. At the centre sits a golden deity murti in a tiered canopy, decorated with a garland of white and red flowers and green leaves. Brass pots and lamps sit on the floor and a stone ledge to the right. No people are visible. A metal grille door stands at the left edge.

A photograph taken from inside a vehicle through a windshield, showing a small roadside shrine on a rocky mountain road. The shrine has a red-painted upper structure with a pointed red spire, red and green trim, and red cloth strips tied to its railings. Below it is a whitewashed block with an open front, a red door, and a green shutter. A white bus travels on the dirt road to the left, with steep rocky slopes and green vegetation behind. A black plastic bag and loose stones lie in the foreground. No people are visible.

A small brick hut with a sloping roof of dark corrugated sheets and weighted tarpaulin sits at the foot of a dark rock face in the Himalayan hills. A rough stone retaining wall runs along the bottom, with green shrubs growing from the cracks in the rock and a red cloth lying on the stone steps. Misty grey sky and clouds fill the background. No people are visible.
