A square yellow-painted fire pit lined with red brick holds a burning bundle of straw and kindling, with ash and charred offerings around it. A priest in white dhoti with a gold-bordered cloth sits at the left edge, his hand and bangled wrist visible beside brass and copper kalasha vessels, flower petals and oil lamps. This appears to be a homa or yagna fire ritual. The scene is an active ritual fire, not a portrait of a person.2014-10-27January 07 20152015-01-07 +1 copiesClose view of a square wooden fire pit or homa kund with stepped tiers, its ash-filled center partly visible, set on a stone floor scattered with red petals.
