His forehead and arms bear white ash markings, and he wears a small gold earring. Marigold and white flower garlands and bananas are arranged on the altar in front. Behind him, women in white and red shawls sit in devotional posture before a colourful painted backdrop with gold and red panels. A person's hand with white markings reaches toward the offerings from the left. The scene appears to be a puja with aarti.2013-05-19A young male priest in saffron-orange dhoti and shawl with a deep red border sits cross-legged on a striped green-and-red mat before a small fire. He holds a ladle over a silver bowl with his right hand, pouring offering into the flame, his left hand resting on his knee. He wears a white tripundra forehead marking with a red bindi, white ash-striped arms, a long rudraksha mala with silver beads and a small framed pendant, and gold earrings. Behind him stand an ornate gold throne-like seat and a tiger-striped cloth. Brass vessels sit nearby.2013-05-28 +1 copiesApril 24 20162016-04-24A shaved-headed man in saffron-orange robes stands in a hall holding a tall, multi-tiered brass oil lamp with a large lit flame. He wears layered gold beaded necklaces and a bangle on his wrist, and has white tripundra markings on his forehead. Audience members sit blurred in the background in front of wooden panels, with a few lit lamps visible. The scene suggests an aarti being performed at a satsang gathering. The page identifies this event as a morning satsang in Kodaikanal, but the man's appearance alone is not enough to confirm who he is.2012-09-07May 07 20172017-05-07December 16 20102010-12-16A homa or fire ritual in a painted hall with a large deity mural behind. A shaved-headed priest in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl, with white tilak and white arm markings, sits at a low yellow-brick fire platform, pouring offerings from a silver bowl into a bright flame. Several seated devotees in white clothes and orange-beaded necklaces, including a woman in white with blonde hair, have their hands in anjali behind him. A kalasha pot with flower garlands sits at right, and silver ritual vessels and flowers are on the platform. A camera operator is visible at the lower left.2013-05-13April 30 20152015-04-30May 28 20132013-05-28 +1 copies
