2008 - Glimpses Of Gurukul

Upward view into a large banyan tree with thick, spreading branches and many aerial prop roots hanging and wrapping around the trunks. Green leaves fill the canopy against bright sky. No people, ritual objects or structures are visible.

A large, ancient banyan tree dominates the frame, its wide spreading limbs and many aerial prop roots forming a dense green canopy over reddish-brown earth. Thick hanging roots descend from the branches around the trunks. At the base, beneath the lower branches, a small shrine area is visible with red and white draped fabric and a few small objects, though figures there are too distant to clearly distinguish. Overcast light filters through the leaves. No clearly visible people are present in the foreground.

A large old banyan tree dominates the photograph, its wide spreading branches and many hanging aerial roots forming a dense canopy over a raised earthen base. Multiple thick trunks and prop roots grow down into the ground, and a few faded red and orange cloths are tied among the roots near the base. Low red brick edging borders the sandy ground in the foreground, and bright green leaves filter the light. No people are visible.

A large banyan tree photographed from below, with a dense canopy of green leaves spreading across thick, grey, horizontal limbs. Many aerial roots hang down from the branches, some thin and wispy, others thicker and twisted around the trunk on the right. No people, altars or ritual activity are visible; the scene is a natural tree canopy against a pale sky.

A large banyan tree dominates the frame, with thick grey trunks, spreading horizontal limbs and many hanging aerial roots descending like vertical cords. Green leaves fill the canopy against a pale sky. At the lower right edge a red-orange wall and a metal railing are partly visible. No people are visible.

A large, old banyan tree dominates the frame, its wide spreading branches and many hanging aerial roots forming a dense canopy over a raised circular earthen platform at its base. Near the trunk, a few figures in dark clothing stand at the platform, partly hidden by foliage. To the right, a small shrine-like structure with a red cloth backdrop and ornamental white arch is visible among the trees.
