A person in a rust-red and orange turban, saffron-orange cloth and layered rudraksha malas touches the head of a seated young girl in a floral top and wheelchair, while holding a small yellow card. Beside them a man in a white shirt and white dhoti holds a brown booklet, and a woman in a patterned sari holds a plastic bag. Several men in white shirts and mundus stand behind, including one wearing a rudraksha mala, and a row of onlookers fills the background.2013-11-24November 18 20132013-11-18June 24 20142014-06-24 +1 copiesA man in a red-maroon ceremonial turban and a maroon-and-gold dhoti with a gold waist belt stands bare-chested, wearing a white flower garland and beaded brown malas. He smiles while applying white vibhuti or sacred ash to the forehead of a young woman in a white sari with teal border. A bearded man in a blue shirt and a man in a checked shirt watch, and a toddler and children crowd around. Behind them are framed photographs on the walls of a bright hall with red curtains and chairs. The man's appearance with a red turban, garland and malas is a distinctive cue, so this is a person, performing a blessing as a priest-like figure.2013-11-20A photograph in an indoor hall with red curtains and framed photo posters on the walls. A man on the right wears a red turban, a white-marked forehead, a garland of white and pink flowers, a red-and-gold waist cloth and gold bangles on his upper arm; he holds a baby wearing a cream outfit with a small red bindi, while a woman in a green sari and a white-clad older woman with glasses look on. A woman in an orange-red sari with a rudraksha mala stands at the left edge, and a man in a striped shirt holds a metal bowl behind them. The baby's forehead bears a tilak. The scene appears to be a blessing or ritual moment, with a small group gathered around.2013-11-20Indoor photo in a hall with red curtains and framed posters on the walls. A person in a red turban, bare-chested with a long pink-and-white garland and gold armbands, reaches toward a baby held by a woman in a teal sari; he holds a small steel bowl of food or prasad. Several people in red and saffron sarees and malas stand nearby, and a man in a checked shirt and a bearded man in dark clothing watch. The swami-like figure's appearance has some cues (turban, garland, gold ornaments) but the identification is uncertain.2013-11-20November 20 20132013-11-20November 20 20132013-11-20A seated figure in an orange-red robe and a garland of yellow and red flowers, with rudraksha beads and gold bracelets, places both hands on the head of a bald man in a white shirt with an orange sash, who kneels with his head bowed. Beside them a woman in a pink top holds a toddler in white clothes, and a woman in blue salwar kameez stands in the background among golden deity murti and brass lamps. The setting suggests a blessing ritual in a temple hall.2016-02-21August 28 20112011-08-28November 19 20132013-11-19July 04 20142014-07-04
