Red and multicolored fringed umbrellas shelter the platform. A bare-chested man with a saffron-orange turban and orange cloth stands at the back, and a man in white shirt holds a trident-tipped staff. Cameramen with a video camera and still camera film on the left, and a crowd of devotees in orange and white fills the background beside a steel footbridge and a temple-like structure. +1 copiesA street procession moves along a dusty road lined with parked vehicles and roadside shops. At the centre, a decorated palanquin (palaki) with a golden finial and a tall kalasha-like top is draped with white and multicoloured flower garlands and strings of marigolds. Two figures sit on the palanquin, one in orange robes and a saffron head wrap, the other in orange with garlands. A man in orange robes stands at the front holding a golden staff, and a man in orange stands at the rear. Multicoloured umbrellas with blue and gold motifs shade the palanquin. Around it, many men and women in white shirts and saffron scarves and sashes walk with orange flags, some carrying placards. Men in khaki uniforms with orange badges walk among them. Spectators stand along the roadside, and a tractor and a white van are visible at the edges.2010-07-24 +1 copiesOctober 15 20112011-10-15October 15 20112011-10-15A festival procession in the street, with a decorated palanquin carrying a deity murti hung with colourful garlands and a multicoloured canopy frame. In the foreground a man in a saffron-orange cloth and orange head wrap, wearing a long gold necklace, walks at the centre of the crowd; his long swept-back hair and ornaments fit the page's presentation, but his face is not clearly distinguishable, so the identity is uncertain. Around him, men and women in white shirts and white dhotis carry white flags and umbrella poles, and a brass kalasha lamp sits on the left palanquin. Other figures in orange and saffron clothing walk behind. Red and purple fringed canopies and banners with bright patterns frame the scene.2005-12-31October 15 20112011-10-15April 26 20122012-04-26April 26 20122012-04-26April 13 20142014-04-13
