A seated man in orange and saffron robes sits smiling on an ornate gold-and-red throne with a carved gold back, wearing a tilak on his forehead, layered gold and beaded necklaces, and gold armlets. Beside him stand two painted wooden deity murtis: the left figure wears an orange crown and orange dhoti and holds up a hand, the right figure wears a white-and-gold crown and white-and-orange garment with a flower-decorated garland. Red drapes, pink and white flower arrangements, a black-and-gold ceremonial staff and a patterned cloth lie before the throne. The swami appears to be a person, identified by the saffron robes, ornate gold necklaces and armlets, and his ceremonial seat, a presence on the throne rather than an identity established from the face. Fewer than five people are visible, with only the central seated figure as a physical person.2012-09-09June 18 20162016-06-18August 27 20172017-08-27 +2 copiesA seated man in saffron-orange robes sits cross-legged on an ornate gold throne carved with swans, lions and floral motifs, draped over a leopard-print cushion and tiger-skin rug. Below him, the bald back of a head is visible at the bottom edge. Behind the throne stand red and gold ornamental structures with more flower garlands in magenta, yellow and white. The scene appears to be a devotional gathering at a temple-like setting.2010-08-14May 24 20162016-05-24May 14 20162016-05-14A photograph of a seated person on an ornate gilded throne with carved lion-head armrests and a tall arched golden backrest, set against deep red velvet drapes.
