Outdoor photo of a seated figure on a white padded throne with a rounded backrest, set on a low wooden step covered by a pink cushion. The seated person wears orange robes, a saffron-coloured sash, a garland of red, yellow and purple flowers, a gold necklace and a headband, and smiles while holding a white ceremonial staff. A tall orange-clad man with a white beard and rudraksha-style beads stands to the right beside other orange-robed attendants and a man in orange with a garland. Attendants in white shirts and yellow scarves hold long poles topped with colourful fabric streamers. Behind them are vehicles, a dusty embankment and a brick wall.2009-12-25A photograph of a long-haired man in an orange saffron robe seated on a white cushioned chair outdoors, wearing long white flower garlands with red and green accents draped over his shoulders and arms, his hands folded in his lap. Behind him stand men in white dhotis and orange shawls, and men in dark uniforms with circular badges; a yellow-orange ceremonial cloth and red-and-gold flag edge the frame. She sits on a red-and-gold patterned mat while a man in white kurta with an orange shawl kneels before her, and a second man in white with orange shawl holds a stack of books. Behind them, people in white clothes and orange shawls stand, and seated devotees in white and a girl in gold-bordered sari with a ribbon badge sit on a striped mat under a canopy with orange drapery. The swami-style candidate is not confidently identifiable from appearance, so the seated woman is described by role only.2006-12-31December 25 20072007-12-25Photograph of a seated man on a red and gold throne draped with pink, orange, yellow and white flower garlands, wearing a saffron-orange robe and a long pink-red garland, smiling with bare feet on a red footstool. Probable Swamiji by appearance (long swept-back dark hair, saffron robe, flower garlands on a throne). Standing beside him are men in white dhotis and orange shawls, some wearing rudraksha-style beaded malas, and a standing man in white with an orange shawl. Seated women in white saris with red-bordered edges sit on the floor at right, some with glasses and beaded necklaces. A small gold figure of a deity-like statue in pink dress stands near the throne base. Background shows orange triangular banners and a red-and-white pillar.2007-12-30Outdoor night photograph of a devotee gathering on packed earth. A long-haired man in saffron-orange robes and a gold-bordered orange shawl sits on an ornate red and gold throne with a gilt scroll back, wearing a beaded rudraksha-style mala and gold necklace, with bare feet on a small leopard-print mat. Around him, men in white dhotis and white shirts, some with rudraksha malas and red shawls, stand with hands folded, alongside an older bearded man and a shaved-headed monk in orange with a gold chain. Women in a pale yellow sari and a white sari stand at the right. A tent pole rises behind. A person in white kneels at lower right, bowing before the seated man. A blue bag hangs from a standing man's shoulder. The setting is a tiled floor with metal chairs.2007-02-25February 24 20072007-02-24
