In the foreground a figure in saffron-orange robes wears a red flower garland and carries a red-and-yellow bundle, with yellow-and-white flower decorations. Beside and behind him, a line of people in white dhotis and white kurtas with yellow shawls follows, some with hands joined in greeting. Painted wooden pillars with colourful geometric patterns line the background, and framed photographs of a saffron-robed figure hang on the wall at left alongside a bookshelf.January 02 20102010-01-02 +1 copiesA photograph of a procession under a covered shed with a fringed canopy umbrella in white and red overhead. A man in the centre wears a saffron-orange robe, a long white and red flower garland, rudraksha beads and a red tilak, with long swept-back hair; he walks forward with hands clasped, and the appearance is consistent with a person candidate but the cues are not strong enough to confirm. Men in white dhotis and shirts walk around him; one on the left carries a tray of flowers, and one on the right in white with a red and gold shawl holds a decorated basket with flowers. A young boy in a red checked shirt walks at the left, and devotees in white and saris follow behind with decorated umbrellas and drums visible at the right edge.2006-12-29December 23 20092009-12-23
