February 01 20182018-02-01Outdoor temple courtyard shaded by a large banyan tree. A red-orange heap of offerings surrounds a dark deity murti in a white arched niche, garlanded with orange and yellow flowers. A man in a white shirt and dhoti tends the murti at the base. Several people in white clothing move about, including a woman in white at left and a man in white at right. In the foreground, a woman in an orange sari and four seated devotees sit on black stone slabs facing the shrine: a man in a light shirt and jeans, a woman in white, a man in white, and a man in a checked shirt and white dhoti. No a person candidate is clearly identifiable.2010-07-08Outdoor photo at a dusty compound beside a large banyan tree with hanging aerial roots. Several women in white clothes with gold borders stand and sit on a low concrete ledge, one seated woman leaning against the wall while a standing woman in white looks toward the camera. Behind them, people in white and bright saris work among piles of red-brown earth and rocks, some carrying items, while a woman in a blue top and a child in red stand nearby. A woman in an orange and blue sari stands at the left edge by the tree trunk. Concrete block walls and palm trees fill the background under bright daylight.2008-02-23September 18 20162016-09-18Outdoor photo of a paved courtyard beside a large banyan tree with many aerial roots at Nithyananda Peetham, where workers mark the layout of a planned temple. White and yellow chalk-like lines run across the flat stone tiles. Two men in white dhoti-style cloth with orange and green shawls stand near the center-right, one bare-chested with a rudraksha-style necklace, facing the lines. A woman in a red-orange sari stands at the right edge holding a blue object, and several other men in white shirts, lungis and orange cloth stand under the tree in the background. A small pole with yellow-and-white garland decoration appears at right.2018-02-01September 11 20162016-09-11February 01 20182018-02-01February 01 20182018-02-01February 23 20082008-02-23February 01 20182018-02-01Outdoor scene beneath a large banyan tree with thick aerial roots and spreading branches hanging with fibrous strands. Stone slab pathway runs between low red-painted brick borders. Two people walk along the path: a man in an orange-red dhoti and a shawl draped over one shoulder, with a dark wrapped headpiece, and a younger person in saffron-orange robes with long dark hair, both looking down toward the ground. A third person in white clothing stands at the right edge. The setting resembles a temple construction area around a sacred tree.2018-02-01Outdoor scene on a paved courtyard beneath a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots. A man in a purple shirt and black trousers, with long dark hair and a beard, stands at left gesturing toward a group. An older man with long braided hair wears a white dhoti with a gold border and bare upper body, standing among a crowd of people in orange and red garments. A man in an orange-and-white dhoti kneels near the paved floor, and a man in a beige shirt and orange dhoti holds a long rope or cord near yellow-painted layout lines marking a temple plan. Several people in orange and red saris or robes stand around, and a deity murti sits in a red-draped shrine at right with a kalasha-style structure beyond. Stacked notebooks and a bag rest on the ground. Yellow and white chalk lines mark the layout for a new temple.2018-02-01
