Close photograph of a padapuja ritual. A man in white ritual clothes and a red tilak on his forehead, wearing rudraksha malas, pours water from a silver vessel over a devotee's bare feet while another hand holds a silver cup. The feet rest on a gold-coloured tray with red and orange flower petals, silver bowls and a copper vessel. A woman in a gold-trimmed sari and bangles is visible at the lower left and another person at the lower right.

Close photograph of a padapuja, a foot-worship ritual. A woman in a pale green sari with a beaded bracelet and a ring pours water from a small silver vessel over a pair of bare feet resting on a gold-coloured tray. Red and pink flowers, white jasmine-style blossoms and a red sweet in a silver bowl surround the tray. Another person's hand holds a silver spoon at the lower right, and a partially visible figure with dark hair sits at the right edge. Only the feet, hands and hair of the people are visible. The water flowing from the vessel and the offerings sit on the golden plate.

A close photo of a padapuja ritual: a pair of bare feet, smeared with white paste, rest on a golden tray while several hands pour water over them from silver vessels. One hand holds pink lotus flowers, and water streams down past a red-and-green thread on the ankle. The person whose feet are being washed wears no visible face in frame; in the foreground a dark-haired head is partly visible at right. A woman in an orange-and-white outfit with a green-trimmed border and gold bangles pours water, and a man in an orange robe also stands beside the tray. Silver bowls with offerings sit at the bottom of the frame.

Close-up photograph of a padapuja ritual in which a bare foot is being washed. A person in an orange garment is partly visible at upper left, and a bare foot rests on a golden tray scattered with white jasmine flowers, green leaves and pink lotus petals. A woman wearing gold bangles pours liquid from a clear glass cup over the foot, while another hand holds a silver bowl of milk and a silver vessel with a lid above. The gold and silver ritual vessels surround the foot in a bright setting.

A photograph of a padapuja foot-worship ritual. Bare feet in orange-saffron robes rest on an ornate gold tray decorated with embossed floral patterns. A man in a cream-gold kurta leans forward and pours water from a small golden vessel over red and orange rose petals arranged on the tray. Silver bowls holding more orange petals and a red sweet-like offering sit to the right. A dark blurred figure is at the lower right edge.

A padapuja ritual in progress: a bare foot rests on a brass tray while a man in a white kurta with a rudraksha mala hands over a silver bowl of milk. Brass and silver bowls hold red roses and orange and pink flowers, with a red-skinned fruit and a conch-shaped vessel on a gold plate. A woman in a mustard-yellow top and gold bangles, and another person's hands, are also reaching toward the offerings. Gold-toned cloth covers the floor.

Close-up photograph of a padapuja ritual in which water is being poured over a bare foot resting on a large ornate silver tray. Several hands hold silver cups and pink lotus flowers, and a bearer's hand wearing gold bangles and an orange garment holds the foot. Bright silver and gilded plates surround the scene, with a pink lotus blossom at the top. Only hands, forearms and one bare foot are visible, so the person whose foot is being washed is not identifiable from this frame.

Close photograph of a padapuja-style foot ritual. A pair of bare feet rests on a golden tray scattered with red flower petals and white blossoms. The person wears an orange cloth with a gold-bordered edge. A hand pours milk from a steel vessel over the feet, while another hand holds a silver bowl beneath them. Silver bowls holding liquids and flowers sit in the background, and the setting appears to be a ceremonial abhishekam-type offering.
