Behind them stand a gilded throne-like seat, a tall silver staff with a finial, and a framed painting on a wall. A golden lion-head ornament appears at lower left. The scene suggests a blessing or initiation moment.2014-05-13A photograph of a seated figure with a swept-back dark hair, white vibhuti horizontal marks and a red kumkum dot on the forehead, bare-shouldered and wearing a deep red shawl with gold border and a long gold-beaded necklace. He reaches to touch the crown of a man kneeling in front of him; the man wears a white kurta, a thin gold chain, and has his palms pressed together in namaskar. Behind them stand a golden lion-headed throne armrest, orange and blue drapes, and a garland of yellow and red flowers. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure has long swept-back hair, a ceremonial gold necklace and a shawl, matching the cues for the page's named teacher, so the appearance is consistent with that identity in person.2013-11-11A smiling man with closed eyes sits on a red cushioned seat before an ornate gold-embossed backdrop, wearing a white dhoti with a yellow-gold border, a small red tilak on his forehead and a rudraksha mala with large brown beads. In the foreground, a person in a white shirt raises an open palm toward him, as in a blessing or greeting. The pink and dark-red patterned wall behind adds colour to the setting.2011-07-06July 20 20112011-07-20August 30 20142014-08-30July 05 20112011-07-05November 06 20112011-11-06A seated man in a rust-red silk garment with a gold-bordered wrap, bare-shouldered, wears a long brown rudraksha mala and a small red mark on his forehead. He reaches his right hand onto the crown of a kneeling man in a white shirt with a red-and-white bordered shawl, who places his palm on the seated man's knee in devotion. Behind them are a red-and-tiger-striped cushioned seat, a golden lion-faced ornament, a dark red curtain and garlands of white, yellow, red and green flowers. The scene appears to be a blessing or diksha moment.2013-11-14November 13 20132013-11-13July 05 20152015-07-05 +1 copies
