Rows of men on both sides play large barrel drums (thavil-style) with sticks. They wear white dhotis and white shirts, with orange or saffron shawls and sashes draped over their shoulders, and some have orange tilak marks on the forehead. Tall orange saffron flags on poles line the path and flutter overhead, with a low wall and green foliage in the background. The scene suggests a drumming procession welcome for a festival day.2008-12-29Outdoor procession along a red carpet laid over dirt ground at dusk.
