A man seated on a throne-like chair wears an orange-red turban with a crescent ornament, a saffron robe, layered flower and bead garlands, and bracelets; he smiles while his hands are held out. Appearance cues (turban, saffron clothing, rudraksha-style malas) suggest a probable Swamiji. Around him, a bare-chested man in white dhoti kneels with a silver vessel, a man in white dhoti and shawl holds a ritual object at left, a woman in a purple top and red shawl kneels offering a flower garland, and another woman in a red sari offers a plate. A golden Nandi bull statue and a large rock-carved backdrop stand behind, and a standing woman in a white printed kurta watches at right.2016-12-02Photograph of a ceremonial scene in a red-carpeted hall. A man with long dark hair and a full beard sits on an ornate gold throne with a carved cobra-hood canopy, dressed in saffron-orange robes with a rudraksha mala and gold ceremonial necklace, holding fruit and offering. Seated at his feet, a man in white kneels and reaches toward the throne. Standing to the left, a bare-chested priest in white dhoti with orange border holds a rudraksha mala, beside a shirtless young man in orange cloth. A woman in a white sari kneels at the right holding a red fruit, and a gold trident stands nearby. A red painted backdrop with deity imagery is behind the throne.2016-11-08December 02 20162016-12-02
