Decorative cloth hangings in red, blue, yellow and gold with orange tassels hang from the tent ceiling. Along the back wall are framed photographs and banners, and a large framed portrait on the right shows a smiling man with long dark hair. A small figure in orange-toned clothing stands near the right-hand stage area, and a few women in white saris appear among the crowd. At the right edge, a large framed portrait of a smiling man with long dark hair and a red-orange mark on the forehead hangs above a small deity murti on an altar with a drape. Several banners and posters line the back wall. Most men wear white dhotis and shirts, some in striped or saffron-toned garments, and several women wear saris in pink, maroon and green. Many people stand with hands folded in prayer or anjali, facing toward the front of the hall. A metal truss frame and hanging lights run across the ceiling, and a blue draped curtain hangs at the right edge. The gathering appears to be a festival ritual or darshan, with a packed congregation of roughly fifty to a hundred people visible.2007-12-27
