September 24 20122012-09-24Photo of a procession inside an unfinished brick hall with bare concrete floor and a patterned mat. A bare-chested man in a blue and red dhoti carries a silver tray on the left, and a young man in a white dhoti with an orange shawl holds an orange umbrella beside him. At centre, a smiling man wears an orange cloth wrap, a long-haired swept-back style, a gold ceremonial necklace and a forehead mark; he has distinctive ceremonial gold adornment and orange clothing. To the right, an older man in a cream shawl and white dhoti with a red bead necklace carries a tray, and a young man in a blue checked shirt holds a tray of flowers. Several onlookers stand and sit in the background.2012-09-24 +1 copiesSeptember 24 20122012-09-24January 15 20092009-01-15Photograph of a group walking across an unfinished brick-and-concrete structure with exposed rebar and open arched walls under daylight. In the centre, a long-haired man in a saffron-orange dhoti and shawl wears a heavy gold-and-beaded garland and a tilak on his forehead; the appearance is consistent with a person, though identity is uncertain. To his left, a shaved-headed young man in orange robes with a rudraksha mala and a child in white holding his hand walk ahead. On the right, a young man in white with an orange shawl and a rudraksha mala carries a long orange-tipped staff, and an older man in white shirt and dhoti walks beside them. Several other people in orange and white follow in the background.2012-09-24August 11 20092009-08-11November 27 20062006-11-27A photograph inside a bright hall with pale pink walls and a tall painted pillar. A central man with long dark swept-back hair wears a white draped garment, a red-cord necklace, a rudraksha mala with gold ornaments, a red tilak and gold armbands, walking forward. Beside him a shaved-headed attendant in an orange robe and gold-beaded necklace carries a white tray, and on the right an orange-clad person holds a silver plate of offerings. Behind them a man in yellow and white stands near others in white and yellow clothing, and a woman in white and a woman in teal clothing are visible in the background. The scene looks like a temple ritual procession with offerings being carried.2011-02-12September 24 20122012-09-24September 24 20122012-09-24September 24 20122012-09-24Several men walk in a dim stone temple corridor toward a bright doorway. The foreground man in front wears an orange-saffron dhoti and shawl with gold borders, a rudraksha mala, a white ceremonial necklace and a white forehead band, and he appears to be the lead figure, with a second man in orange and gold behind him. Other men in white dhotis and shirts, some with gold chains and shawls, walk alongside. A white-shirted man with a beard stands at the right beside a chair. The pale pillars and worn floor suggest a temple hall.2012-05-22 +1 copies
