August 07 20172017-08-07Night-time outdoor kitchen under a large tree, lit by strings of small white lights along a wall. In the foreground a man in a white shirt and red-and-white lungi stands at a dark metal counter where round flatbreads are cooking on a flat griddle. Behind him a large dark pot sits on a table, and at right a second cook in a white vest tends a grill with glowing charcoal. Plastic chairs, steel vessels and several onlookers in the background; a few people stand near the tables at right. No visible a person candidate.2006-11-26A photograph of a man in an orange-red robe and orange shawl standing at a black cooking griddle, using two long metal spatulas to flip round dosas. Several golden-brown dosas are cooking on the griddle, and a steel vessel sits on the right. Behind him are yellow curtains with red floral print and a grilled window. He has a short tilak mark on his forehead.2008-06-30August 17 20142014-08-17 +1 copiesA photograph of a kitchen where a man in an orange-saffron shawl over a red top is cooking dosas on a flat black griddle. He stands at the stove with a spatula in his right hand, turning several thin golden-brown dosas, and wears a small red-orange mark on his forehead. To the left, a man in a black-and-white checked apron holds a steel bowl, and a steel pot sits on the stove. Yellow curtains with floral prints and a wooden-framed window with a green hillside behind it fill the background.2008-06-30A dim tented food service area at night with white canopy fabric and maroon drapes overhead, and bright tube lights on posts. Many people in white and cream shirts and dhotis or sarongs queue and serve. A man in a white shirt at left ladles from a steel container, a woman in a white sari with a cream shawl holds a plate, and a man in a light blue shirt and yellow-trimmed dhoti stands in the middle. Stacks of steel plates and a covered steel pot sit on tables in front, and an older man in a white cap and cream shirt and an older woman in glasses stand at right, all wearing small identification badges. No a person is visible in this image.2006-11-26August 17 20142014-08-17 +1 copiesA smiling man in saffron-orange robes and a matching orange shawl stands at a flat black cooking griddle, pouring batter from a steel jug while spreading it with a long-handled ladle. Several round dosas sit on the griddle, dusted with orange spice. A red tilak mark is visible on his forehead. Behind him are a window with grey metal grilles and yellow floral satin curtains. The man's identity is not established from appearance, so no a person candidate is asserted.2008-06-30 +1 copiesAugust 17 20142014-08-17 +2 copiesSeptember 17 20062006-09-17A smiling man in a red long-sleeved top and orange saffron shawl stands at a black griddle cooking round dosas with a long metal spatula and a wooden-handled ladle. Several golden-brown dosas sit on the hot plate, with batter drops scattered around. Behind him are yellow floral satin curtains and a window with grid bars. The person is the only one visible. Whether he is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance, since the visible cues are a shaved-to-medium dark hair and orange clothing without a crown, rudraksha or ornate gold, so the candidate is uncertain.2008-06-30 +1 copiesNight-time annadan food service at an illuminated outdoor ashram courtyard, with strings of coloured fairy lights and a tall ornamental lamp post behind. Many people queue along steel serving counters: monastic-style figures in saffron-orange robes and matching sashes, some wearing white head-caps and hairnets, serve food onto plates. Women in orange and red saris and saffron salwar suits, a girl in a pink top, and children with shaved heads and rudraksha malas hold plates. A boy in orange and red wears spectacles and a mala. No clearly identifiable a person is visible among the serving figures, so the identity is uncertain.2014-08-17 +1 copies
