A photograph of a man with long, dark, wind-swept hair and an orange-saffron robe stands at a sandy riverbank with palms pressed together in namaste and head bowed. Behind him, hazy pale sky over a calm river with a distant bridge. On the left bank, several women in pink, blue and purple saris stand and crouch near the water, and a child is among them. On the right, a seated woman in a blue sari sits beside scattered marigold flowers on the sand. Soft dusk light.2004-10-18Photograph on a misty riverbank at dawn, with a wide pale river and a small boat far out on the water. In the foreground, a man with long swept-back dark hair, a gold earring, a pearl-and-rudraksha style necklace and an orange cloth draped over his shoulder stands on the sand, with a gold armband, looking toward the river; the appearance cues are consistent with a person candidate. Beside him a man in a light blue shirt holds a small object near his chest. On the right, a man in an orange robe and orange shawl reaches toward a boat at the water's edge.2013-02-13January 08 20062006-01-08June 02 20162016-06-02January 08 20062006-01-08June 02 20162016-06-02June 02 20162016-06-02A photograph at a riverbank with hazy water and a stone embankment. In the foreground, a figure in an orange turban and orange robe with a gold-coloured ornate necklace stands with palms pressed together in namaste, eyes lowered and smiling; he has long dark hair and holds a small plastic bag of flowers or offerings. Behind him, several bare-chested men and one man in a white shirt and tan vest stand waist-deep in the river, some wearing lungis or shorts, with a distant wooden pier across the water. Swamiji (probable) is indicated by the orange turban, long hair, orange robe and gold necklace, shown in a devotional riverside setting.June 02 20162016-06-02June 02 20162016-06-02A group of men stand waist-deep in a river or lake with sunlit water around them, performing a ritual bath. Several wear saffron-orange cloths: a man at left with long dark hair, a central man with a dark rudraksha mala draped over his orange wrap, and a bearded man at right. A man in a white shirt with a yellow shawl stands behind them, a shirtless man stands further back, and a man in a pink checked shirt raises a cloth overhead while wringing water. The central figure has his hands raised in a gesture while water splashes around them.2010-01-30June 02 20162016-06-02
