Another seated man in orange clothing gestures, and a man in a maroon shawl sits behind them at left. A bare-headed man in an orange-brown garment with a gold-striped shawl faces away at lower right. Floral garlands, a brass kalasha with flowers, a lit oil lamp, metal bowls and a pair of wooden sandals are on the striped mat. In the foreground a seated elderly man with white-grey hair and a dark bead mala wears an orange shawl and reaches toward a metal plate of food on a red cloth, which holds rice, yellow dal, pappadum-like rounds and vegetables.
