A long concrete road bridge crosses a shallow river with green algae on the water. Its piers stand in the water and their reflections are visible. Several buses, a truck and cars are queued on the deck, with a white truck carrying an orange flag near the centre. Palm trees and roadside trees line the far bank under a hazy sky, and a tall lattice telecom tower rises in the background. Three or four people wade in the shallows at the lower right, partly obscured by the piers.2009-01-30January 30 20092009-01-30January 30 20092009-01-30January 30 20092009-01-30June 01 20162016-06-01A concrete bridge spans a shallow river, with grassy banks and several dark goats grazing in the water beneath its pillars. On the bridge deck a procession moves along the railing: a decorated wooden ratha or palanquin-style chariot stands at right, draped with red and orange cloth, garlands, and flags, with a figure in red and gold seated within it. A large framed portrait is carried among the marchers, and saffron-clad participants walk beside parked white vans and a yellow bus. Palm trees line the far bank under a pale sky.2009-01-30A dusky, hazy dawn or dusk view of a long concrete bridge with many piers crossing a flat grassy floodplain, with a few vehicles on the deck and streetlights along the railing. A leafy tree in the left foreground has a small colourful paper poster pasted on its trunk. A paved road edge runs along the lower right. No people are visible.2015-10-27A photograph of a long, flat concrete road bridge stretching toward a pale hazy sky. Tall rusted red-brown lamp posts with floodlights line both sides, with matching red-brown metal railings. A yellow centre line runs down the road. Several vehicles, including a yellow-green van and a light blue vehicle, are crossing in the distance, and a few small figures stand near the right edge. No ritual, deity or a person depiction is visible.2009-01-14A wide daytime photograph of a large concrete road bridge spanning a river at the Kumbh Mela site, with massive piers rising from the water. Below a second, lower pedestrian footbridge of white steel trusses carries a dense crowd of people across the river. Several banners hang from the truss, including a blue and white Idea advertisement and pink signs reading Sector and Ghat in red text. Red and white striped marker poles stand along the sandy bank in the foreground, and a hazy sky with overhead power lines sits above. No individual figures are clearly identifiable as a person.A busy road bridge at dusk with a long row of streetlamps lining the span. In the foreground, two elderly bearded men walk toward the camera: the nearer one wears an orange-saffron kurta under a brown vest and carries a long walking staff, and the other wears an orange turban and a tan vest, also with a staff. Behind them, people ride and crowd onto a truck and bus, some on a roof rack and open flatbed. A cyclist and pedestrians move along the roadway, with a yellow-and-white guardrail and roadside signboards with red text. A small purple logo appears in the upper left corner. Several people are visible, around twenty in total.2013-02-13June 01 20162016-06-01Photograph taken through a vehicle windshield on a wet concrete bridge flanked by low railings and tall stone pillars, with a yellow-orange marigold garland hanging at the bottom edge of the frame. Two figures walk along the left railing side of the bridge, one in a white garment and one in darker clothing. Dense palm and tropical trees line both sides under a heavy overcast sky. The road surface is glossy from rain, with a vehicle ahead in the distance. The scene shows the road route of a ratha yatra procession passing through Tamil Nadu.2006-10-29
