A large crowd of men and women in white and light clothing surrounds a decorated palanquin or chariot topped by a white canopy with red and orange umbrellas. Many saffron and orange flags and banners fly in the crowd. Police in khaki uniforms line the road and stand at the crossing. A blue-and-white multi-storey building with the sign NAVKAR stands at the right.
