A photo of a ritual puja in progress. A shaved-headed man in a rust-red dhoti with a golden-edged cloth and a rudraksha mala sits cross-legged on the floor with his palms joined in prayer, eyes lowered. Before him is a kalasha-style brass pot wrapped with yellow marigold garlands, set on a kumkum-and-turmeric mandala drawn on the floor, with silver bowls, a small silver container, and sliced watermelon and pink flower petals scattered nearby. Brass oil lamps with marigold garlands and lit wicks stand to the right, next to a golden stepped platform. In the background, other people in rust-red and orange robes sit near an orange cushioned chair, and a decorated golden cart is visible.
