Musicians lead, one playing a long brass horn and others carrying drums slung over their shoulders, all in white dhoti and shirt. Behind them, a robed figure in saffron/orange garments with a garland walks beneath a large saffron-and-yellow umbrella held aloft, followed by many people in white and orange-red shawls. A yellow flag on a pole is at left, and a woman in yellow and white stands at right. Corrugated-roof buildings, water tanks and palm trees sit behind.2010-07-26December 28 20092009-12-28A procession on a dirt road in front of a green-roofed shrine and a green metal gate. In the foreground, a man in an orange-pink shirt and cream dhoti plays a hand drum, and beside him a man in a white shirt and red lungi plays a drum with a yellow-fringed head. Behind them, three men walk in white and red-orange ritual clothing; one carries a small golden palanquin-style deity murti, another holds a small gold-coloured shrine, and another carries a long wooden staff. Men with white sacred ash marks on their foreheads lead the procession, and a palm tree and a red building are visible in the background.2013-04-03A photograph of a dirt path beside a red brick wall with green gate and tall trees behind. A man in white dhoti and white shirt walks barefoot carrying a large white-wrapped bundle on his head, with a garland or offering visible. Women in white saris with gold borders walk ahead, one carrying a green bag, and several men in white dhotis and white shirts follow, some with red-bordered cloth. Bamboo leaves frame the right edge. No figure is clearly identifiable as a person; all are devotees in white ritual attire.2010-11-12A photograph of a procession on a dirt road lined with coconut palms and a low fence. Musicians lead the way: a man in a black shirt and maroon lungi plays a small hand cymbal, several men beat large drums, and a man in a maroon shirt and cream dhoti plays a long wind instrument. Behind them women in white saris with yellow garlands walk barefoot, carrying brass pots, and men in white dhotis follow. A red-and-white striped gateway and a truck appear at left. About twenty people are visible, and none is identifiable as a person.2009-12-28A photograph of a procession on a dirt path between a stone wall and a concrete-block building with banana plants behind. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts lead the way; the front three play long brass instruments, including a nadaswaram-style horn and a tutari-type trumpet, with their hands on the instruments. Behind them, men carry ornate ceremonial umbrella-like canopies (kodai) in red, orange and yellow with embroidered and tasselled fringes, and an older man in white follows. Two men on the right wear white shirts and lanyard ID badges. The scene suggests a festival procession with musicians and bearers of ceremonial canopies.2009-12-23Outdoor procession under leafy trees on a dirt path. A man in a long white kurta with a rudraksha mala and a small badge walks barefoot near the centre, with a shaved-headed woman in white beside him. Behind them devotees in white follow, including a woman in a light dress with sunglasses. On the right a drummer in a white dhoti and white shirt with an orange shawl plays a large drum with a decorated red-and-gold cover, while another musician plays a long wind instrument. Several people in white and cream clothing walk in the background among the trees.2011-11-21December 28 20092009-12-28A procession on a dirt road outdoors under an overcast sky, with palm trees and tall trees behind.
