Bright orange flames rise around a charred log or offering piece at the centre. At the right edge, a bundle wrapped in yellow and orange cloth sits beside a yellow-rimmed tray with marigold-like flowers. A partially visible person in a pink or magenta garment stands at the left edge. No clear face or full body is visible, and the fire dominates the frame.2013-11-04December 28 20172017-12-28A photograph of a homa fire pit built from yellow painted bricks decorated with scattered red and pink flower petals. Bright orange flames and white smoke rise from burning logs, with yellow turmeric-like powder or grains sprinkled over the fire. Behind the pit, a brass ritual implement stands upright, and blurred people in orange and red robes and head coverings gather, several looking down toward the fire. A person at left holds a camera. Several people are visible in the background, mostly partially out of focus.2017-12-28October 08 20132013-10-08Close-up photograph of a sacred fire burning on wooden logs, with bright orange flames and rising smoke. Logs rest on metal fire-pit bars, and at the lower left edge a small offering of yellow flowers with a red kumkum mark sits beside the fire. The background shows dark wooden structures. No people are visible. This appears to be a homa or yagna fire during ritual proceedings.2015-12-25
