A man in a plain white shirt and white trousers stands at a microphone, holding papers and speaking at a press-style podium crowded with Tamil news channel microphones (Vasanth TV, Sun News). A small red tilak mark is on his forehead. Behind him, women and a man stand in a line; one woman in an orange-and-white dupatta wears a rudraksha-style mala, another in a teal salwar and a woman in a white sari with black dots stand nearby. Colourful woven banners with floral motifs hang on pillars. No one in the scene is identified as a person by appearance.
