Bhagavad Gita (Song of God) is a timeless treatise on the essence of living enlightenment. The Gita was imparted by the enlightened Hindu incarnation Sri Krishna to the warrior-prince Arjuna over 5000 years ago. Amazingly, the spiritual wisdom and life solutions offered in the Gita are so universal and current that it is even today used as a personal transformation guide. In today’s talk on Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 4 Verse 28, Paramahamsa Nithyananda (Swamiji) explains how money itself can become a path to God. When we set our sights on deepening our spirituality we activate the principle of creativity at all our levels of being. The ultimate goal is expansion of our inner space, and the consequence of expansion on the material plane is frequently wealth. If money for its own sake is the goal, even when accompanying a profound spiritual practice, we are merely materialistic. But if our intention is the expansion of consciousness we are spiritualists. The accumulation of riches is a happy by-product of our journey of self-discovery.

dravya-yajnas tapo-yajna yoga-yajnas tathapare | svadhyaya-jnana-yajnas ca yatayah samsita-vratah ||

From tomorrow everyone has to have Bhagavad Gita book.

Translation – “ Some revere wealth, some revere penance and some revere intense action while other ascetics who resolve has sharpened revere the knowledge through the stuey of the self.

Sri Krishna very beautifully organizes the different aspects of religions, different reasons for Tapas, different reasons for the conscious efforts. He says there are some who perform religious rituals, rites, penance, methods, techniques for material wealth. Please understand 99% of people who perform religious and spiritual activities, finally as a final goal in the heart believe wealth. That is the biggest problem. What you experience or believe as final result of life final product which you are going to enjoy really matters. U.G. Krishnamurthi usually I don’t praise U.G. Krishnamurthi he has such a dirty mouth. But he has done one good thing he started creating new set of bhajans money is God, God is money. You will be shocked if you listen to those bhajans. He has a dirty voice and in that dirty voice he will sing. And the whole group will sing with him. I was wondering whom is he mocking? Making fun. I thought whom is he mocking? He will sing money is God, God is money. I realized an important fact and the truth. Please understand an important fact and the truth 99% of the people even if they get some extraordinary powers and siddhis in their life as the final product they think money is life! In our Sangha, I keep even money as the inspiration to expand our leadership quality. I tell them money should be a goal not for the sake of money but as an instigator and instrument and inspirer for you to expand and perform, for you to become a leader. For you to know the perfect grand extraordinary truths. Please understand, if money is the goal through spirituality you are materialist. If conscious expansion is the goal even through money you are a spiritualist. That’s it. In our organization, in our Sangha, even among our devotees I insist on generating wealth. I am not the Guru of poverty. I am not …

Please understand either you can have wealth as a goal through spirituality or spirituality conscious expansion as a goal through wealth. Both are possible. In our own organ, I don’t disrespect wealth for our own devotees. I am not poverty guru. Same way I am not materialistic like U.G. Krishnamurthi. I don’t want to sing money is god, god is money. No. I am neither materialistic like U.G. Krishnamurthi nor the teacher of poverty. Poverty is sex perversion. Please understand I am making a very powerful statement. Poverty is sex perversion. Poverty in your body, poverty in the things you need around you is sex perversion. When you have a deep perversion in your being, the sexual perversion your energy flow does not happen smoothly. That perversion lands you in the pattern of poverty. That perversion leads to confusion and all other restlessness. With that restlessness and confusion you don’t think creatively and you don’t create wealth. So be very clear poverty is sex perversion.

I am not a promoter of poverty. I am not promoter of poverty and I am not promoter of materialism. No. the end of the day when you sit and calculate the result of your existence of last one day see every night when you sit and think what is the essence result of my existence of this whole day. whatever did , what is the essence. What have I achieved, what should be the counting factor of my profit. End of the day if you think wow, consciously I have expanded, now I am free from this pattern, I can be beyond this restrictive patterns, if this is your goal, if this is the calculation from which you function, accumulating wealth is right. Whole day you may be working and creating wealth in your office but end of day when you sit and think yes I did this, this action. But side effect wealth came. But my main effect I have broken from all these patterns. I am free from all these samskaras, now I have expanded and can function out of more freedom, more free space. If you are established in this space and thought flow reaches this space then accumulating wealth is not a crime.

This is exactly how I wanted all of you to function. Spiritual goal is the main goal and side effect may be wealth. But unfortunately, wealth is main goal not even as side effect spirituality will be there . When wealth becomes main goal, even as side effect spirituality will never be there. So each of these lines by Sri Krishna.

Each of this line I need to elaborately comment. I have a press meet within next few hours. Not even few hours little time because the SUN TV has abused all our devotees staying here saying they are dressed half naked, roaming around. Very abusive way they have showed. arjun sampath local rowdy is saying all our women are dressed half naked and SUN TV is relaying again and again. We need to call a press meet. All our women need to answer. I know all our women will face media. All our women disciples will give a press meet now. Then all of you will go to the local collector office and give a petition to stop SUN TV airing these did of things and do a protest.

So today with this I go the next part of my routine. But evening we will have elaborate satsang in Tamil . all of you must understand literally amidst war I am teaching Bhagavad Gita!
