Behind them are garlands of red, yellow, white and purple flowers. The seated figure is shown only from the knee down, so no face is visible; the appearance is too limited to confirm who it is, and only hands and limbs are shown.2009-12-24Close-up photograph of two pairs of hands clasped together, one set wearing a gold ring and layered gold and beaded bangles over saffron-orange clothing, the other set wearing a red thread bracelet and a brown beaded mala wrist. The orange fabric fills the frame, with a blurred metal plate and red and gold textiles in the background. The image shows a ritual gesture of blessing or transmission between two people, with no legible text or identifiable face visible.2016-10-29September 15 20092009-09-15January 06 20182018-01-06Close photo of two pairs of hands meeting over a small white cloth or offering, with a dark-skinned hand on the left wearing a red thread bracelet and another hand on the right wearing a black watch. Behind them, a person in an orange-red shirt is partly visible, and at the right edge a pale striped garment. The lighting is purple-pink. Two physical people are visible, one partly.2018-02-13April 24 20182018-04-24 +1 copiesJanuary 04 20132013-01-04July 25 20092009-07-25A photograph taken indoors in a plain white-walled room showing a figure in an orange-saffron turban and orange robe with long dark hair, holding a brass-and-glass ceremonial vessel with a green leaf and white flowers on top, pouring or offering water over the heads of people. A grey-haired man in a white shirt with a rudraksha-style mala bows with palms pressed together and eyes closed, and a younger man in a maroon shirt with a yellow shawl lowers his head beside him. A hand holding a wristwatch is visible at right, and a small pink flower arrangement sits on a wall shelf. The turbaned figure is a person present in person, appearing to bless the devotees during a ritual; the other people are devotees receiving the blessing.2008-07-28Close-up photograph of a ritual exchange in warm reddish light. In the foreground, a hand holding a folded white paper or sacred leaf is offered into the cupped palm of another hand. Behind them, a blurred figure wears an orange-saffron garment and a rudraksha-style bead mala, with a fan-shaped white object behind the head and a brass or copper vessel at the right edge.2018-04-25
